This site was created by Cornell’s Financial Literacy Coordinating Committee with assistance from a grant from the Council for Graduate Schools and TIAA-CREF to help promote financial literacy on campus. The Coordinating Committee provides campus leadership and guidance in helping our students become financially literate. Membership includes staff, faculty, and students.
From the Charge of the Coordinating Committee:
Financial health is one component that determines overall wellness. In recognition that health is a foundation for academic and life success (Cornell’s Strategic Plan), Cornell has a responsibility to ensure that our students are financially literate. The Financial Literacy Coordinating Committee will provide campus leadership, guidance, and execution to this principle. The committee includes representatives from appropriate offices that desire to make institutional change, integrate these concepts into their own work, identify and develop partnership opportunities, and further advance the efforts begun under Cornell’s Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) “Financial Literacy” grant. In addition to the established and continuing CA$H COUR$E and Fall Financial Literacy Fest, the group will provide guidance to support other strategic initiatives.
